Call, 3-bet or fold after a raise: how to make decisions
An opponent opens with a raise, and we find ourselves holding a hand that looks too strong for an automatic fold, but not obvious enough to raise. In this situation, a call is often perceived as the safe decision: we don't inflate the pot and keep the chance to see a flop. However, in poker, far from everything is determined by the "safety of the action".
