The FBI has officially accused North Korea of the largest cyberattack on the Binance exchange

The FBI, together with the U.S. Secret Service, has determined that the hack of the largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, was carried out by state-sponsored hackers from North Korea. According to the agency, the cyber group TraderTraitor stole assets worth more than $6.3 billion.
Intelligence services have observed that the attackers are right now actively converting the stolen tokens into Ethereum (ETH) and warn that the hackers plan to launch the process of further laundering the funds in the near future. To do so, they will use decentralized services (DeFi) and instant exchange platforms.
The FBI has already published a list of hundreds of crypto wallets controlled by the hackers and urged all blockchain companies, crypto services, and centralized exchanges to closely track the movement of funds and immediately block any suspicious transactions. Binance itself has stated that it will fully cover all user losses from its own reserves and funds.
