Russian player Vyacheslav Kardash has taken the lead heading into the final day of the Merit Poker Cup tournament with a $3,500 buy-in in Northern Cyprus. 64 participants advanced to the final day, with a prize pool of $1,260,032.
Kardash finished Day 2 with a stack of 2,090,000 chips and became one of three players to cross the two-million mark. He was joined by Ali Al-Kubaisi (2,050,000) and Stefan-Sebastian Ionita (2,035,000). The final day will begin on the bubble, with 63 players making the money, where the minimum payout is $5,500.
Besides Vyacheslav, the top 10 of the final day includes four more players from CIS countries:
