Monster Stack with a £120 buy-in and a £100,000 guarantee at the Grosvenor Goliath festival in Coventry ended in an 11-way ICM deal — the remaining players split the prize pool after the average stack dropped to 8 big blinds.
The tournament drew 2,726 entries across four starting flights. The prize pool reached £207,100, more than doubling the guarantee. Huntao Sun was crowned champion, with a payout of £13,255 against the original first-place prize of £30,000.
Ryan Bignell got the most out of the agreement: with a stack of 2 big blinds he would have been guaranteed around £1,000, but under the terms of the deal his payout rose to £4,300.
ICM deals in live tournaments rarely involve more than two or three players. The 11-player case is one of the most notable examples in the tournament's history.
