Maurice Hawkins Sets New WSOP Circuit Wins Record

Maurice Hawkins extended his record for WSOP Circuit titles. The American regular claimed his 26th ring by winning the Mini Main Event at the series' Oklahoma stop. In the 4-max he outlasted Will Givens and Ari Engel, who with 20 rings shares second place in WSOPC titles with Daniel Lowery.

In the heads-up Hawkins faced one-time World Series bracelet winner Brian Green. During the battle Hawkins dropped to 6 big blinds, but managed to fight back and take the trophy. Along with his 26th ring, Maurice took home $76,380. Green earned $50,900 for second place.

"I don't want to disrespect anyone, but accumulating chips here is a little easier. We're not in Vegas, which means the competition is lower. As for everything else? My family is thriving, my kids are successful. My health is where it needs to be. No worries. God is good," Hawkins said after the win.

In April, Maurice Hawkins won his 24th WSOP Circuit ring, and a few weeks later filed for bankruptcy amid a debt of $115,828 owed to Randy Garcia. In May the regular became a WSOPC champion for the 25th time, and afterwards declared that he wants to win 200 rings over his career. At the 2026 World Series, Hawkins came up one step short of his first bracelet, losing to Kenneth Gregory in the heads-up of the $600 No-Limit Hold'em/Pot-Limit Omaha event. He earned $135,864 for that result.
