Neymar played in a poker tournament in Brazil shortly after the WSOP

On July 21, the Brazilian Series of Poker kicked off in São Paulo, which the 34-year-old footballer attended. Neymar took part in the Invitational tournament with a $5000 buy-in and already on day one delivered a spectacular hand against Leo Rizzo. The winner turned out to be amateur Pedro Ferrer, who earned 1 million Brazilian reais ($197,700). The champion admitted he was shocked by Neymar's appearance at the table:
«I'm a huge fan of Neymar. So when he walked into the room, I was just in shock. We had to hold ourselves back so as not to bother the star. But he's magnificent, I was happy to see him».
