The same pair of players faced off in the heads-up of two WSOPC events

Right after the WSOP main schedule wrapped up in Las Vegas, the WSOP Circuit kicked off, filling the gap until the WSOP Main Event final table. And these events have already given us an extremely rare storyline — the very same pair of players faced off for trophies in the heads-up of two tournaments.

The first was the $600 Pot-Limit Omaha event, which drew 451 entries. In its heads-up, Thomas Taylor and David Simon met. Taylor won the battle, taking his third WSOPC ring of his career and earning $44,586. Simon took $29,699 for second place.

Just three events later, Taylor and Simon clashed for a title once again. What's more, they played the heads-up of a second straight Omaha tournament, this time with an $800 buy-in that attracted 247 players. The outcome didn't change. Taylor beat Simon again, becoming the first multiple winner of the 2026 WSOP Circuit Horseshoe and earning another $38,826. Simon, for yet another second place, received $25,549.

The WSOP Circuit in Las Vegas will conclude on July 25. A total of 18 events will be played as part of the series.
