David Peters won his fifth WSOP bracelet and $1 million

On the second-to-last day of WSOP 2026, American David Peters became the winner of the $10,000 Six-Max Championship, taking home $1,001,391 in prize money. This is the player's fifth bracelet and his first since 2022.

In the spring of 2026, the player found himself at the center of a financial scandal. Dylan Linde publicly accused Peters of failing to repay a debt of $50,000 for over a year, stemming from a shared backing deal at the Triton Poker series. Peters admitted fault, publicly apologized, and cited financial difficulties, having returned only part of the sum at that point.

This fresh win of one million dollars will allow the high roller to fully settle the remaining balance of the debt.
