Bluff of the day by Will Givens

Bracelet winner Will Givens returned to the World Series after a three-year suspension and put on a show. The American player drew attention not only with his constant table talk but also with a spectacular bluff during Day 5 of the Main Event.

The action began with a 150,000 bet from Sam Swailem, who told Givens: "I'm coming after you." Will fired back: "I love it, though I eat guys like you for breakfast." Swailem's bet was called by Alen Bakovic from the hijack, Dhiraj Sharma from the button, and Givens himself from the big blind.

The flop came ♦️♦️♠️, and Bakovic bet 175k. Sharma and Givens called, while Swailem folded. Everyone checked the ♥️ turn, and then Givens bet 500k on the ♦️ river. Sharma raised to 1,200,000, and Givens instantly 3-bet to 2,500,000. After some thought, Sharma called, and Givens showed ♥️♣️, which gave him two pair. Sharma, with ♦️♦️, had made a flush on the river.

According to unconfirmed reports, Givens was suspended following accusations from a woman that he took her $100 chip during a game of roulette at the casino. He won his only bracelet in 2014 in the $1000 No-Limit Hold'em event.

This summer Will Givens cashed twice at the WSOP, earning $214,960 for third place in the $1500 Pot-Limit Omaha and taking $27,300 for 54th place in the $1500 NLH Millionaire Maker. Givens finished Day 5 of the Main Event 21st in the chip count with a stack of 5.7 million chips (114 BB).
