TikTok Engineer Zixuan Liu Wins WSOP Bracelet

Zixuan Liu emerged victorious in Event #85: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em, capturing the $219,391 first-place prize. The event attracted a massive field of 1,733 players.

During the course of play, a failed bluff left Liu with a stack of just four big blinds. Undeterred, the Chinese player doubled up in the very next hand with pocket tens, sparked a formidable comeback, and went on to defeat America's Justin Shiao in heads-up play to seal the victory. Remarkably, this is only the engineer's second career WSOP event — he finished 21st in his debut at Event #78: $600 Deepstack Championship.

Outside of poker, Liu works as a software engineer at TikTok. Following his triumph, he shared his plans to buy his wife a new car. While he had originally planned to return to work the following day, he booked an extra day off to attend his bracelet ceremony.
