TDA Summit XII: Key Changes in Live Poker Rules

The Tournament Directors Association has held its XII Summit. The event gathered over 200 representatives of the poker industry from all over the world. The TDA's objective remains unchanged: a single set of rules that players, tournament directors, and poker room managers can reference.

Key Changes

🟣Formulations and penalties have been tightened, including hate speech at the table.

🟣In heads-up play, a passive action out of turn — a check or call — now strictly forfeits the right to bet or raise when action returns to the player.

🟣An all-in player must put forward either all of their chips or none of them. Putting forward only a portion of the stack is not permitted.

🟣Control over electronic devices has been tightened, and "smart glasses" are now strictly prohibited.

🟣Stacking chips in piles of 20 has been upgraded from a recommendation to a full rule.

🟣It is recommended to break tables in a random order and not to publish table-breaking orders in advance.

🟣On TV tables, players are now required to show their cards to the reader cameras prior to the flop.
