Doug Polk steps down from management at The Lodge Card Club
Doug Polk has announced his departure from the management team of The Lodge Card Club — one of the largest cardrooms in Texas. Polk will retain his ownership stake but will step back from day-to-day operations at the club he co-commissioned in 2022.
Polk attributed his decision to growing commitments across other ventures and family priorities:
"With other projects demanding more of my focus and my family continuing to grow, I've decided now is the right moment to step back. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who helped us build this venue. I have absolute confidence the team will succeed without me, and the club will continue to set the standard."
As a reminder, in spring 2026, the venue was subjected to a TABC raid over suspected money laundering and illegal gaming. The establishment was shut down for over two months. In late April, a grand jury declined to bring charges, and The Lodge reopened for action.
Doug Polk acquired his stake in the cardroom alongside poker vloggers Andrew Neeme and Brad Owen. He served as the public face of the operation, spearheading livestreams and battling guests firsthand at the low-stakes tables.
