Phil Hellmuth stayed true to his tradition, staging yet another costumed entrance on Day 1 of the World Series Main Event. This time, the 17-time WSOP champion entered the room dressed as a superhero in a black-and-gold suit featuring his initials on the chest.

Hellmuth was joined by his sons Nicholas (Batman) and Philip Hellmuth III (Captain America), alongside Daniel "Jungleman" Cates, who opted for an ancient angelic look. Each of them also wore the PH initials on their chests. Adding to the spectacle was "Deadpool" carrying a boombox, and women in capes and masks carrying 17 placards representing Hellmuth's bracelet tally. Video of the walk-in has been posted on the WSOP YouTube channel.

Phil Hellmuth has been staging these theatrical grand entrances at the start of the Main Event for around 20 years. In 2018, he arrived at the casino dressed as Thor, flanked by 12 women in Wonder Woman costumes. Dan Cates has been a regular participant in these entrances over the past few years.

At the end of Day 1, Phil Hellmuth sits 352nd in the chip counts with a stack of 100 big blinds. His son Nicholas sits in 431st place (with 76 BB). The current chip leader is Japan's Ryuta Nakai, holding an impressive 538 BB.
