Matt Higgins clinches $1m in WSOP 2026 Mystery Millions
American pro Matt Higgins has conquered the $1,000 Mystery Millions at the 2026 WSOP, locking up a cool $1,000,000 payday alongside his career-first gold bracelet. The tournament generated a massive field of 22,811 entries, setting a brand-new record for $1K buy-in events in World Series history.
Higgins defeated Poland's Dominik Panka, the 2014 PCA Main Event champion, in a gruelling heads-up battle. The decisive clash spanned several hours, with the champion ultimately securing a monstrous final stack of over 910 million chips.
While Higgins already boasts nine WSOP Circuit rings, two Main Event titles, and a Mini Main Event crown, a WSOP bracelet had remained the ultimate missing piece. Following his triumph, he admitted to battling a brutal downswing over recent months, racking up losses of around $300,000.
