Shaun Deeb Clinches Ninth WSOP Bracelet in $1,500 8-Game Mix

Shaun Deeb has emerged victorious in the $1,500 8-Game Mix at the 2026 WSOP in Las Vegas, capturing $181,625 in prize money and his ninth career bracelet. The tournament drew a field of 776 runners, generating a pride pool of over $1 million.

In the final heads-up battle, Deeb defeated Dean Jo, who collected $120,570 for his runner-up finish. Deeb entered the final day as the commanding chip leader, but his stack took a hit, leaving him on the brink of elimination after a massive pot went to Fu Wong. However, two rapid double-ups allowed him to turn the tide and seal the victory.

Prior to this triumph, Deeb had finished as runner-up in three bracelet events during the 2026 series. This victory pulls him level with Benny Glaser, Johnny Moss and Michael Mizrachi, who also hold nine titles apiece.

The win further solidifies Deeb's lead in the WSOP Player of the Year race. If he secures the title, he will make history as the first player ever to be crowned Player of the Year three times.
