WSOP lowered the rake for the Paradise series
The World Series of Poker has cut the rake in most of the tournaments at the upcoming festival in the Bahamas. The size of the fees had previously drawn plenty of criticism. Nine-time bracelet winner Shaun Deeb also spoke out against it, calling WSOP Paradise a "rake trap I've been stuck in since the summer."

Now the WSOP has announced a reduction in administrative and staffing fees in 12 of the 20 tournaments of the upcoming series. In some cases, the rake has been cut in half.

Rake changes at WSOP Paradise:
🟣 -33% for the two $100,000 high rollers (from $3,000 to $2,000)
🟡 -50% for both $50,000 Single Day High Roller events (from $2,000 to $1,000)
🟣 -25% for the turbo tournaments with a $26,000 buy-in (from $1,000 to $750)
🟡 -20% for $10,000 events with the exception of the $10K GGMillion$ (from $500 to $400)
🟣 a reduced administrative fee of $300 for the $15,000 Last Chance
🟡 reduced staffing fees of 3% for all $26,000 tournaments except the Super Main Event

Shaun Deeb has already reacted to the decision, saying he is now looking forward to WSOP Paradise much more. The festival will run from December 2 to 17 at a new venue — the Baha Mar resort in Nassau, which has replaced Atlantis on Paradise Island.
