The final of the fifth event at the Poker Masters ended in 2 hands

The $10,500 NLH tournament drew 85 entries, building a prize pool of $850,000. Adrian Mateos reached the final table as chip leader, held his advantage into heads-up and needed just two hands to beat Poker Hall of Famer Nick Schulman. The win earned the Spanish player $229,500, while Schulman took $148,750 for second place.
The victory ended a run of bad luck for Mateos at the current championship. In the first four events the Spaniard busted three times on the bubble and once finished second, losing to Nicolas Palma. After five completed tournaments, Adrian Mateos has racked up the most points and leads the overall series standings in the race for the main trophy — the Purple Jacket.

I try not to dwell on results. I focus only on the process and on what I can control, because I have no power over whether I lose or win. In 15 years in poker I've learned to handle upswings and downswings, so I always try to play my best game.📰 Subscribe to Pokerflow
