Adrian Mateos became the bubble boy for the third time in four Poker Masters tournaments
The Poker Masters series continues in Las Vegas, with the winner claiming the purple jacket. Early in the festival, six-time WSOP bracelet winner Adrian Mateos is suffering the most. The Spanish high roller has busted on the bubble in three of the four tournaments.

Mateos was previously the bubble boy in the first and third events of the series, while in the second he lost heads-up to Nicolas Palma. Today the Spaniard once again went out one spot short of the money in the $10,500 No-Limit Hold'em event.

Shortly before the Spaniard's exit, Joey Weissman held the shortest stack, but he managed to spin it up from 10,000 chips. Mateos, meanwhile, got it in preflop with A♣️7♣️ against Chris Hunichen's pocket nines. On a Q♥️3♠️2♣️6♦️5♣️ board the American's pair held. One of Mateos's opponents joked: "It's insane — to bubble three times and somehow also lose heads-up to Palma."

Just five players remain in the $10,500 NLH. Latvian poker player Vitaly Zavorotny will start the final day as chip leader with a 71 BB stack. He's followed by Clemen Deng (53 BB), Jamie Dwan (48 BB), Nicolas Palma (17 BB) and Andrew Lichtenberger (12 BB). The players return to the table today at 21:45 MSK.
