The number of bots detected on QQPK has reached 11,500
A few days ago we wrote that analysts had discovered 2,587 suspicious bot-like accounts on QQPK. Soon after, the room announced that it had blocked 724 suspicious entries.

However, the bot network on the site may be several times larger. Analyst Wojtek Czerwinka conducted his own investigation and identified 11,469 accounts that are very likely bots. The study ran from July 16 to October 11 and covered 24 million hands. According to Czerwinka's estimate, 17.5 million of them were played by bots.

The analyst pointed out that the nicknames of the suspicious accounts were all built from the same template. He also singled out the account "郑鱼F" (which can be translated as "Zheng Fish F") and called it the "Big Daddy Bot," since it played 153,000 hands compared to 5,000 for the next most active suspicious account. According to SharkScope, "Zheng Fish F" played 8,329 tournaments in 33 days — more than 250 tournaments a day.

QQPK has already reported blocking 893 accounts and announced the discovery of a "fraudulent syndicate operating in collusion." 567 of the 893 accounts were identified by outside researchers, while another 326 were found by the room's security team. In addition, 2,020 accounts remain under review.

QQPK has allocated $300,000 to compensate affected players, with only $64,627 recovered from the blocked accounts — the rest was contributed by the room itself. The site also announced an "Integrity Bounty" program for the analysts who helped expose the bot network and invited them to serve as external risk consultants.
