GGPoker has banned the use of Hand2Note, Jurojin and other poker software
GGPoker has announced new security measures following the hacking of high rollers via the Mesh Agent trojan. Players will be able to manage their client's protection through the new Client Security section. There they will be able to enable the Screen Guard feature, which will block screen recording of the user. ACR Poker previously introduced a similar solution.
Because of the high roller hacks, GGPoker has decided to tighten its rules on third-party applications. The room has completely banned the use of any poker software, including Hand2Note, DriveHUD 2, as well as Jurojin and Intuitive Tables, which the fraudster used to gain access to the computers of the players affected by Mesh Agent.
Note that the site had already prohibited running Hand2Note at the same time as the client, but this did not result in third-party software actually being blocked. It is not yet known how the restriction will be implemented after this update.
GG has also added a new method of checking game integrity. The security system will analyze the decisions made by players and detect an abnormally high winrate. According to the room, this feature was able to identify violations that occurred in the past during testing.
Finally, the site announced that from 2027 it will stop supporting Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and macOS 11, since these operating systems no longer receive security updates. Players are advised to upgrade to at least Windows 10 or macOS 12.
