Venetian casino has changed its card dealing rules
One of the world's most famous poker rooms, The Venetian in Las Vegas, has reformed the classic card-dealing procedure. The casino's management took this step to protect the tables from hidden cheating and the use of micro-cameras by players.

From now on, the room's dealers are required to hold the deck strictly parallel to the table and deal the cards using a sliding method, completely eliminating any tilt of the deck to the side.

Well-known high roller Matt Berkey praised management's response to the community's requests:
18 months ago I was told this would NEVER happen and that it would do more harm than good. We're on day two, and we already have at least one example of everything going great. It looks like the Venetian has switched to speed cloth, is using a shoe for dealing, and isn't running into any serious issues that would interfere with the deal. Huge respect to the organizers who listen to players and take game integrity seriously.
Similar anti-cheating regulations with slide dealing are expected to be introduced by all the other major casinos in the near future.
