David Peloci loses pocket aces to an expired timer at WPT Prime

A curious incident took place at the WPT Prime Lodge Championship, a tournament with a one-million-dollar guarantee. Poker player David Pelosi, who had been dealt A♥️A♣️ preflop, started counting out chips for a 3-bet, but got so caught up in the process that he didn't notice the seconds on his shot clock run out. Since the player had no time-bank cards left, the dealer declared his hand "dead." Pelosi turned his aces face up, threw the cards down and tried to dispute the ruling.
Shortly after that incident, Pelosi ran into his opponents' pocket aces twice in a row. First he had A-K on an A-K-3 flop and lost to a set of aces, which cost him 90% of his stack. A few minutes later David shoved all-in with A-J against A-A and finished his run in 21st place, collecting $7,300 in prize money.
