Scandal in Japan over a women's poker tournament
The organizers of the Japanese poker series Japan Open Poker Tour have faced criticism on social media over the announced prize pool for the upcoming Ladies Championship in Tokyo.

The official partner of the women's event is contraceptive manufacturer Sagami. The organizers announced that the players finishing 1st through 3rd would receive sets of intimate products in addition to the main payouts:

First place gets 150 condoms and 3 bottles of lubricant, second place — 80 condoms and 3 bottles, and third place — 40 condoms and one bottle.

A local player under the nickname Zexy published a post stating that the organizers treat women not as athletes but as sex objects. In the comments, members of the community are expressing widespread disgust at the initiative, calling for a boycott of the event and noting that prizes like these completely devalue the status of women's poker.
