Spanish high roller Saavedra lost over $100,000 due to the Mesh Agent virus
Spanish regular Manuel "J0hn Mcclean" Saavedra revealed that he became one of the victims of scammer Paul Gregg, who used the Mesh Agent trojan. The high roller shared statistics showing that he lost more than $100,000 to the scammer.

On GGPoker, Saavedra was only able to check statistics for the first six months of 2026, while on ACR he managed to trace the entire history of games against Gregg. The Spaniard was able to confirm losses of $59,274 on GG and $43,175 on ACR. The full damage could turn out to be even higher.

Saavedra said that the virus had been on his computer for more than a year, and that Paul Gregg deliberately opened heads-up tables to play against him:
"This software [Mesh Agent] was installed on my computer for more than a year while I was playing poker. All that time the scammers could see my cards and played against me with that information, taking my money directly.

And the situation becomes even more serious considering that this person was in the lobby practically all day and even opened heads-up tables for me in order to play directly against me."

Saavedra called on the rooms to take concrete steps to improve security and expressed hope that the scammers would be punished:
"I don't know what measures GGPoker, ACR and CoinPoker are planning to take, but I believe that all those affected deserve plenty of answers and, above all, solutions. We need to find out what happened, over what period of time, and determine how the damage caused will be compensated.

Now that all of this has come to light, the situation looks even more serious. I hope the investigation will be carried through to the end, everyone responsible will be identified, and there will be consequences for those at fault."
Manuel Saavedra rose to prominence in 2021, when he earned more than $700,000 in a few months. The Spaniard played 400,000 hands at stakes from NL400 to NL40K with a winrate of 10.57 BB/100.
