Aleksey Borovkov talked about his duties in his role with the PokerOK security department
Alexey «Avrora» Borovkov has become the new ambassador of the Pokerok network. The reg has taken a position in the poker room's security department. He explained that he will not be making decisions single-handedly, but will be able to put forward proposals and publicly shed light on certain aspects of the security team's work:
«I'm a talking head, by and large. I can share my opinion and suggest what could be done. I'll take part in decision-making, but I won't be able to unban someone just because I feel like it. All the work is done by the security department; I'm needed here as a person who stakes his reputation on it».
Borovkov also talked about what should change with his arrival at the company, and noted that the process will be long, expensive, and humiliating:
«What didn't sit right with professional players? Even an honest player could be denied service, with no chance to clear their name. I'd like players to have the opportunity to prove that they don't use RTA and don't break any other rules.
The changes will be long, expensive, and humiliating. But this will mainly affect professional players. Recreational players most likely won't even notice the process».
One of Avrora's initiatives was the introduction of special testing for players suspected of cheating:
«Many of my proposals concern players who play suspiciously well. We want to set up something like doping testing in sports. We'll record a suspicious person's play on camera under the supervision of people the community trusts.
The main problem in poker in 2026 is AI agents and advisers. And such a video recording of their play can be analyzed and compared with how the person played before, to find certain patterns and discrepancies».
In addition, Borovkov emphasized that he only reached an agreement with the poker room very recently:
«At the time of the previous post on this topic, there were no agreements in place at all. I wasn't warming up the audience, as some might have thought.
I sincerely believe that we can try to make the situation fairer. But there's no guarantee it will turn out the way everyone expects».
As a reminder, Avrora spoke about the Pokerok room's offer to take a position in the security department back in early September. At the time, he wrote that he had not yet made a final decision about the collaboration.
