"Rampage" Yau tore into an opponent for slow play on the Hustler stream
In one of the recent cash game episodes on Hustler Casino Live, Ethan "Rampage" Yau unleashed criticism at a new player named Harut. According to the blogger, his opponent wasn't acting fast enough and wasn't giving enough action.
The spat began during one of the hands, which we've attached to this post. On a 3♥️2♣️J♥️ flop, Yau with Q♠️Q♣️ raised to $18,000 from the small blind, forcing Nik Airball to fold Q♥️J♣️. The action moved to Harut in the hijack, whose A♥️K♥️ gave him the nut flush draw.
Harut spent about a minute thinking over his decision, and that's when Rampage "boiled over." The following exchange took place between the players:
However, by the numbers Harut wasn't playing much tighter than Yau. The newcomer spent 9 seconds per decision versus 6 for Rampage, and the blogger's VPIP was only slightly higher — 48% against 46%. Only Harut's preflop raise figure was considerably lower — 12% against 25%.
Rampage didn't stop at his tirade at the table. He later wrote on X:
"I stand by every word I said and don't think I was all that rude. Congrats on playing like a coward, Harut. Thank God I'll never have to play with him again.
Seats at the tables on shows like this are supposed to be earned by entertaining the viewers, giving action and contributing something."
Yau's post has since been deleted.
Under the video of the episode on HCL's account, Airball sided with Yau and also pointed to Harut's slow play and silence. However, many users were unhappy with Rampage's own behavior. The blogger was accused of taking too much upon himself because of his fame, and was urged to apologize to his opponent.
As for the session results, Harut finished with the biggest profit — $72,600. And Ethan Yau turned out to be the main loser, dropping $103,250.
