Bruce Buffer and Jamie Gold hosted their annual charity poker tournament in Hollywood
The 14th annual Variety Poker & Casino Night tournament was held at the Paramount studio lot in Hollywood. The event's goal was to raise funds for Variety: the Children's Charity of Southern California, an organization that supports children with health problems, disabilities, or from disadvantaged families. Thanks to its work, more than 45 million children around the world have received critically important resources and services.
The evening was hosted by UFC ring announcer Bruce Buffer and 2006 WSOP Main Event champion Jamie Gold, who has hosted these events since their inception in 2012. The tournament was supported by more than 50 sponsors, including Paramount, Disney, Universal, and MGM.
Among the 800 star-studded participants were Michael Mizrachi, Hustler Casino Live founder Ryan Feldman, actors Mekhi Phifer, Peter Facinelli, and Billy Burke, as well as rapper Ray J and his wife, model and actress Princess Love.
The tournament raised $250,000 to help children with disabilities in Southern California. In addition, six children received special adaptive bicycles during the evening.
200 players took part in the high-stakes tournament, and seven women made the final table. The only man there was Poker.org journalist Craig Tapscott.
Tapscott ultimately finished third, while Princess Love took the win. As her prize, she chose a bankroll in a new episode of Hustler Casino Live, turning down a package from Delta Air Lines and CLEARiT.
