The winner of the Triton $200,000 Invitational has been determined
The $200,000 Invitational at the Triton Super High Roller Series in Jeju has wrapped up, drawing a record 173 entries. The heads-up match featured Joao Simao, who had led since the start of the final table, and Biao Ding.

During the final table, Simao knocked out Winfred Yu in sixth place and Yan Wang in fourth. Ding sent Emilien Pitavy to the rail (5th) and Seth Davies (3rd).

The heads-up battle was a long, back-and-forth affair. Biao Ding seized the chip lead after picking off a bluff from Joao Simao. The Brazilian bet 7 million on the river with 6-high, and the Chinese player called with a flopped pair of aces.

Simao then evened out the stacks, but once again decided to bluff a stronger hand off the pot. With 7♣️6♣️ he fired a 3-bet of 11 million on a 5♠️2♣️4♠️J♥️10♦️ river. Ding called with A♥️10♥️ and took down the 41 BB pot.

A little later, Simao narrowly escaped defeat. The Brazilian shoved for 18 million preflop with A♥️4♠️ and got called by Ding with A♣️J♥️. On the 2♣️7♥️5♣️7♣️5♠️ runout both players had two pair and chopped the pot.

They had to split the pot again a few hands later. Only this time it was Biao Ding who moved all-in, and the board brought a shared set of fives. On top of that, both players once again had an ace kicker.

Simao managed to restore his earlier advantage and grind Ding's stack down to 10 million chips. In the decisive hand, the Chinese player got it in on the 5♠️9♥️5♦️2♠️ turn with 10♥️9♠️ for two pair. But Simao held K♠️K♦️ for the bigger two pair and snap-called. The 7♦️ river missed Ding's remaining two outs.

Joao Simao became a Triton champion for the second time in his career and earned $7,250,000. Biao Ding collected $4,940,000 for second place.
