The most expensive heads-up in history could take place as soon as today

Finnish businessman and high roller Ossi "Monarch" Ketola has announced that he plans to play the most expensive heads-up match in history, with a buy-in of $10,000,000. The game is set to take place as part of the Triton Super High Roller Series in Jeju, and Ketola's opponent is expected to be Hall of Fame member Patrik Antonius.
The match is scheduled for tonight, but has not yet been officially confirmed.
In 2025, Ketola already staged a series of heads-up matches, during which he twice set the record for the largest pot played out on a poker broadcast. First he won $10,990,000 in a match against Alex Foxen, and then took $12,700,000 in a game against Bjorn Li. The buy-in for the final heads-up match against the Hong Kong pro was $8,000,000.

It will start at around 9 or 10 p.m. Jeju time [4–5 p.m. MSK]," Ketola said in a video on his social media.A couple of days ago, Ketola won $6,000,000 in a heads-up match against Viktor "Limitless" Malinovskiy.
