Two-time WSOP champion Jesse Lonis didn't miss the chance to poke fun at four-time bracelet winner Artur Martirosyan during the $25,000 NLH 8-Handed tournament.
During the tournament, the Russian lost a big pot with pocket tens to Kiat Lee, who hit two pair on the river with A♥️Q♣️ on 3♣️2♦️7♠️Q♥️3♥️. A few hands later Lonis himself got tens, with which he shoved preflop against Matthias Eibinger's A♦️6♦️. The Austrian called, but on the 8♠️2♥️Q♥️5♥️K♣️ board the American's hand held up.
As the Austrian player was getting ready to leave the table, Lonis told Martirosyan, who was sitting next to him: "That's how you play tens, Artur." The Russian just smiled in response.
Then again, Lonis busted from the tournament before Martirosyan. The American high roller took 10th place, losing to Aleksei Boyko, and won $64,000. The Belarusian player then knocked out Martirosyan himself, who earned $76,000.
