A Canadian regular launched a marathon to run up to $3,000,000

Kevin Martin was inspired by RomeOpro announced the start of a long-term marathon on his X account. The Canadian regular intends to reach the $3,000,000 mark through poker and content creation. He didn't set any time frame for the challenge, however.

"I have a long-term goal to make $3,000,000 from poker and content to achieve financial freedom. There will be swings, but we're heading in the right direction," Martin wrote.

In the post, Martin also showed how his bankroll changed over the previous few weeks. Week 1 — $186,000, week 2 — $166,000, week 3 — $192,000. In the comments, one user noted that weekly reports could negatively affect a player's psychological state and suggested doing them once a month or once a quarter. The poker player agreed with this argument.

Last Sunday went well for the Canadian marathoner. He recorded a profit of $19,000. Martin spent $5,000 on buy-ins and won $24,000. His most successful event was the Zodiac Sunday Golden Royal High Roller tournament, where he finished third and received ¥87,093 (~ $13,000).

According to Hendon Mob, Martin has earned $482,567 in live tournaments. The Canadian's best cash was $72,200 for 25th place in the main event of WSOP Paradise 2023 with a $5,000 buy-in.

As for Roman Romanovsky himself, on day 144 of his marathon he booked $33,549 across 245 tournaments and raised his bankroll to $337,537.
