Ilya Gorodetsky — in the top 4 of a WSOP Online event
Well-known poker commentator Ilya Gorodetsky reached a World Series event final table for the first time in his career. He managed to do it in the online tournament $1000 Five Card Pot-Limit Omaha, which drew 755 entries.
Over the course of the tournament, Gorodetsky knocked out 12 opponents and ultimately finished in fourth place. For this result the commentator earned $45,280, which became his best online cash. Note that at WSOP Online 2026 he also reached the ITM in the $600 Super Six Bounty 6-Handed NLH and $300 Gladiators of Poker tournaments, but in those events he took home less than $1000 combined.
Shortly before Gorodetsky, Russians Mikhail Frolov (6th place, $26,042) and Pavel Krylov (7th place, $19,601) busted out of the Omaha event. Third place went to Portugal's Pedro Neves, whose winnings amounted to $61,075. And in heads-up Ukrainian Mykhailo "B0rnToT1lt" Ostash lost to Roland Rokita. The Austrian claimed his second bracelet and $107,808, while Ostash received $81,144.
"There was no squeezing out more chances today; because of the abundance of short stacks and hefty pay jumps I had to dig for everything. Ukrainian Mykhailo Ostash showed magnificent play at the final table, but in the end he lost heads-up to Roland Rokita. Neves, to put it mildly, didn't demonstrate good play — PLO5 isn't his game yet," wrote Gorodetsky on his Telegram channel.
