Ilya Arkhipov — the second Russian WSOP Online 2026 champion

A week ago we celebrated the victory of Nikita Kalinin at WSOP Online in the $2500 Bounty NLH Championship. Now Ilya Arkhipov has become a champion, conquering the 6-max NLH Championship with a $5000 buy-in. This event drew 466 entries.
Nikita Badyakovsky also made a deep run in this event. On the final table, the Belarusian high roller knocked out Brazilians Edilson Junior and Daniel da Silva. However, Badyakovsky then lost an all-in against the Bulgarian Yulian Bogdanov and lost his last chips in a hand with Vlad Martynenko, finishing in fourth place.
Martynenko led for most of the final table, but at the 3-handed stage he lost his stack. At that same moment Ilya Arkhipov started playing more aggressively, and it was he who knocked out the Ukrainian player in third place. The Russian with Q♦️8♦️ ran down his opponent's A♠️9♠️, catching queens on the turn and river.
The heads-up against Bogdanov proved difficult for Arkhipov. The Bulgarian managed to double up and nearly even the stacks, but the key moment for the Russian was winning a cooler. Bogdanov went all-in preflop with A♠️J♥️ and got a call from Arkhipov with A♣️Q♦️. The Russian's hand held on the 6♠️5♠️3♣️K♥️2♦️ board and brought him victory.
Arkhipov won his first World Series bracelet and earned $371,793, as well as a $30,000 package for WSOP Paradise, which will take place in December in the Bahamas. Bogdanov took $275,809.
