A dramatic bubble in the EPT Barcelona Main Event

In Barcelona, day three of the European Poker Tour main event with a €5,300 buy-in is in full swing. The tournament drew a total of 1,823 entries. The day before, players reached the money, and the bubble boy's elimination turned out to be quite dramatic.
German Mohamed Zazri moved his last 10,000 chips into the middle preflop with 5♠️5♣️. Only Spaniard Josep Ruiz, holding A♠️8♦️, called his all-in.
On the J♣️Q♥️K♥️ flop Zazri held the lead, but the K♠️ turn gave Ruiz additional outs. One of them came on the river — thanks to the A♦️, the Spaniard made the best two pair. Zazri busted in 272nd place with no payout, while Briton Arian Kashani, who followed him out, already earned a min-cash of €8,600.
At the start of day three, WSOP champion Nick Palma busted with pocket fives. For the American reg, the river also proved fatal, forming two community pairs — A♦️A♠️J♥️6♥️6♦️. Along with Palma, Swede Anton Wigg was eliminated after committing with Q♦️9♥️. Both players received €9,900 each. The winner of this hand was Romanian Mihai Tabac, who held K♠️Q♠️.
113 players remain in the game. Pole Grzegorz Kozeja leads with a stack of 199 BB. Also still fighting for the trophy and the main prize of €1,370,050 are Ukrainian Nazar Bugaev, Russian Nikolay Mamut, and Lithuanian Marius Kudzmanas, who won the WSOP Europe 2026 main event.
