Skhulukhia finished third in the WSOP Online tournament, Filatov — seventh

A few days ago we reported on Nikita Kalinin's victory at WSOP Online. Now three Russian players at once have reached the final table of the bracelet $1500 Monster Stack, which drew 1,482 entries. Fighting for the title were Andrey Popugaev, Anatoly Filatov and Gia Skhulukhia.

Popugaev was the first out after a cooler. He got it in with pocket jacks against the queens and kings of two Finnish opponents, Aleksi Naski and Mikael Haapaniemi. The board didn't improve the Russian, and he left the tournament with a payout of $36,648.

Soon after, Anatoly Filatov ran into a cooler as well. He went all-in with A♥️K♦️ and got a call from Dante Fernandes with K♠️K♥️. On the 6♥️5♥️6♠️ flop the Brazilian made two pair, and the following streets — 7♦️ and 10♥️ — brought Filatov no improvement. The Russian player earned $59,612 for seventh place.

At the 6-max stage, Gia Skhulukhia seized the lead, but couldn't hold on to it, losing several small pots. Soon the Russian pushed his last 13 BB with Q♠️9♠️ and got a call from Ke Song of Hong Kong with A♥️J♦️. The 10♠️6♠️8♥️ flop gave Skhulukhia a flush draw, but another spade never came. The turn and river brought the 6♣️ and 3♦️, and the Russian player busted in third place, taking $157,719.

Ke Song then lost heads-up to the Belgian Arthur Thiriart, who claimed his first WSOP bracelet. The Asian player earned $201,150, and the champion received $256,542.
