Gerard Piqué busted on the bubble of the high roller tournament at EPT Barcelona
Former Barcelona and Spanish national team defender Gerard Piqué continues to conquer poker tournaments. In early July, Shakira's ex-husband showed up at the World Series of Poker, where he busted during Day 3 of the Main Event. Now the footballer has taken part in the €30,000 Super High Roller Warm Up at EPT Barcelona.

The tournament drew just 21 entries, so only the top three players got paid. Piqué came up just short of reaching the ITM — the world and European champion busted on the bubble, finishing in fourth place.

Italian Enrico Camosci took third, collecting €122,705. The heads-up match featured businessman Vinny Lingam and three-time WSOP bracelet winner Eelis Pärssinen. The victory went to the entrepreneur from the USA, who earned €306,600 for his result. The Finnish regular took home €184,000.

This was Lingam's first live poker tournament win. Thanks to it, the career earnings of the co-founder of the crypto hedge fund Praxos Capital surpassed $2,500,000.
