HBO has announced production of a series about Gina Fiore, who earned millions of dollars over 25 years of play. The project is based on her autobiographical book, which is scheduled for release in October of this year.

The plot will be built around advanced playing techniques — tracking the dealer's hole cards and reading the backs of cards. The lead role will be played by Golden Globe nominee and Elvis Presley's granddaughter, actress Riley Keough.

Fiore's biography includes an incident that reached the U.S. Supreme Court. In 2014, DEA agents seized $100,000 in cash from her during a flight under the pretext of fighting drug trafficking.
Gina won the case, proving the funds were legal, and fully recovered the confiscated money.

The series will expand the lineup of modern screen adaptations about the gambling business. As a reminder, Martin Scorsese and the creators of the movie "Rounders" are currently working in parallel on the Netflix series "The Roman" about modern Vegas, starring Oscar Isaac.
