PokerStars have reduced the number of events in the MicroMillions series
August 13, 2026

From August 16 to 31, the MicroMillions series by PokerStars will take place. However, this year the room has once again cut the number of series events. In 2023 and 2024, 208 tournaments were held within its framework, in 2025 — 200, and this year the calendar includes 139 events. The guarantee has been halved — from $4 million to just over $2 million.
The schedule will feature events with buy-ins ranging from $1.10 to $22. That said, some events have guarantees reaching five-figure sums. For instance, on August 16 and 23, the $11 Sunday Storm and $22 High Roller with a prize pool of $75,000 will take place. And the guarantee of the Main Event in PKO format with a $22 buy-in, which starts on August 30, is $250,000.
Last year, the MicroMillions Main drew 20,600 participants. The winner was the Brazilian "pretinhouva", who took home $25,911 including bounties. The MicroMillions series will conclude a week before the start of the World Championship Of Online Poker (WCOOP) 2026, which begins on September 6.
Note that a few days ago PokerStars announced the merging of pools in the UK to boost liquidity. Today Betfair joined the Stars structure. The platform was named PokerStars on Betfair. And over the next months, Paddy Power Poker and Sky Poker will join the pool. According to PokerStars' plan, this will help increase fields and prize pools in tournaments and cash games.
