PokerStars co-founder Scheinberg selling superyacht for $152.5 million

PokerStars co-founder Mark Scheinberg has put up for sale the 70-meter superyacht Synthesis, which is capable of covering more than 9,000 km. The vessel was built by the Dutch shipyard Amels in 2021 and won the award for best interior design at the Boat Design and Innovation Awards 2022.

The yacht has six cabins, a modern fitness room, a sauna, a hammam, a full kitchen, and a helipad that transforms into an open-air cinema or terrace. According to the website autoevolution, Synthesis is priced at $152.5 million.

Amels calls Scheinberg a regular client. Before acquiring Synthesis, the businessman owned a smaller yacht called Kamalaya, which was also produced by the Netherlands-based shipyard. It's noted that Scheinberg made the 70-meter superyacht available for private charters. This option was used by Hollywood stars, including Sydney Sweeney, who paid $900,000 to rent the vessel for a week.

Mark Scheinberg launched PokerStars together with his father Isai Scheinberg in 2001, and in 2014 they sold the company for $4.9 billion. Scheinberg Jr. now owns the investment firm Mohari Hospitality, focused on the luxury hotel industry, and his net worth is estimated at $6.6 billion.

Isai Scheinberg was nominated for the Hall of Fame this year for the seventh time, but did not receive the required number of votes. The 79-year-old poker player and businessman lost out in the voting to Scott Seiver and Jason Koon.
