Polk, Suvarna, and Tilly Played a $1 Million Pot on High Stakes Poker
Season 16 of the show High Stakes Poker wrapped up with yet another hand featuring a seven-figure pot. The table gathered well-known high-stakes cash lovers, including Alan Keating, Andrew Robl and Cary Katz, while the main protagonists turned out to be Santhosh Suvarna, Doug Polk and Jennifer Tilly.

Suvarna set a straddle of $16,000 with ♣️♥️, Tilly responded with ♠️♠️, and Polk, who had ♥️♣️ and the biggest stack, raised to $70,000. Suvarna and Tilly called and saw a ♣️♣️♣️ flop.

After a bet of $150,000 from Tilly, Polk raised to $326,000, forcing Suvarna to push all his remaining chips into the middle. Jennifer Tilly pondered her decision, and then Doug Polk, with her permission, gave some advice — to fold only a truly weak hand.

Tilly listened to her opponent and shoved her remaining stack. The pot reached $1,126,500. The opponents agreed to run the last streets four times. What happened next?

Suvarna won three times: with a shared pair and a better kicker, and twice with a flush. Polk and Tilly made a straight on the second board, taking 1/8 of the pot each. The Indian high roller got 3/4, that is, a little less than
$850,000.
