Voronin lost the heads-up of the NOIR series Main Event

A third player from the post-Soviet region has now fallen one step short of the title at the NOIR Poker Series taking place in Northern Cyprus. Following Dmitry Kravchenko and Gia Skhulukhia, Konstantin Voronin also lost heads-up. The Russian player fell to Turkey's Selahaddin Bedir in the battle for first place in the Main Event with a $5,500 buy-in.

The tournament drew 769 entries, and 13 players began the final day. Several Russian-speaking players once again reached the final table. Leonid Orman did it for the second time in a row. After a seventh-place finish in the $7,500 High Roller, the Russian took sixth.

Konstantin Voronin made it to heads-up despite starting the final day with the 12th-largest stack. The showdown with Selahaddin Bedir lasted nearly two hours. The Russian won two big all-ins, but on the third occasion luck was on the Turkish player's side. Voronin got it in with ♥️♥️, Bedir called with ♣️♥️ and made a straight on the 2️⃣♠️♣️♦️♠️ board.

Voronin earned $375,000 and doubled his personal best cash. Bedir collected $525,000, the fourth-largest payout of his career. The Turk's total winnings surpassed $7,000,000, cementing his second place on his country's All-Time Money List.
