Breno Drumond and Henrique Lessa win team tournament at WSOP
In 2025, Brazilians Kelvin Kerber and Peter Patricio became champions of the $1000 Tag Team NLH at the World Series of Poker. This time, their students Breno Drumond and Henrique Lessa claimed the title, outlasting a field of 1375 players.
During the final table, the Brazilian players were one step away from elimination. Drumond went all-in for 3 BB, but his opponent Ryuya Yamauchi unexpectedly folded. Later, the Brazilians fought their way back and made it to heads-up against Yamauchi and Shotaro Murase.

"This is a dream. We worked hard for seven years to achieve it. We came to Las Vegas to live this dream, and we did it.
We were switching every two hours. Then I saw that Breno was doing really well, so I told him, 'Go for it,' when he replaced me in the 5-max. And so he played all the way to the heads-up," Lessa said in an interview with PokerNews after the win.
